It's been just three months since we launched a new website for a client in West Yorkshire, who sell beautifully hand crafted leather chesterfield sofas. Distinctive Chesterfields in the last 3 months have seen a rise in sales and enquiries.. just going to show you can sell anything online.
The Distinctive Chesterfields website was build with a complex ecommerce system to be able to manage the products that they sell. They needed a system that would work differently from a normal shop as with these Chesterfields, you can custom make them in your choice of size and leather finish. The shop allows for Ranges to be added such as The Wessex, and Distinctive Chesterfields can add a whole selection of images of the range to the product page. This gives the site visitor a chance to have a good look at the furniture and how it is made. You can tell a quality chesterfield apparently by the creases in the leather on the arms and the buttoning. As they are all handmade you won't find two that are the same which makes these chesterfield sofas so appealing.
Within the product page there are the size options listed, such as 2 seater sofa, chairs and footstools. All of these are added via the backend. Once you have chosen the size required then you can pick the type and colour of leather. There are 34 leather colours to choose from and you can even have the leather specially dyed to match a specific colour. Once you order the furniture will be delivered within 4 - 6 weeks, and these Chesterfield sofas really last a life time, and as they get older they get more comfortable!
Distinctive Chesterfields have attracted orders from across the globe with new customers in the USA, Australia, Russia and Europe, as well as the UK. They have also expanded their site with their main blog which has loads of information about the leather and the production process of a chesterfield, as well as information about the different ranges. They are also increasing the number of enquiries and orders that they have had for their special signature collection, where you can literally have any size chesterfield made in whatever colour you like. Their show piece is their 15 foot long lime green chesterfield sofa!
