Earlier on in the year Bronco donated a website design and development to FOP Action, and we continue to support them. We are going to donate the money we would normally spend on Christmas cards to the FOP Research fund to help them find a cure.
FOP stands for Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva which is a progressive disease which literally freezes people in their body as the tissue and muscles turn to bone. There is no known cure at the moment, but in 2006 they did find the gene that causes it, so the push is to raise more funds to help the research.Back in July we decided that we could use our skills to help FOP Action to raise more awareness of the disease by building them a new website as our donation. This has helped the committee to communicate the latest information more efficiently with the families and to detail fundraising events. FOP Action is appealing for individuals and companies to help raise funds by instead of buying Christmas cards this year to donate the money to FOP research. This is what Bronco is doing so the usual £150 that we would normally spend on getting cards printed up and posted will be sent to FOP.
