Make Some Noise for the New Soundsavers Site

This week we have launched a new ecommerce website for Soundsavers. Soundsavers are based in Lancaster and are the UK’s leading supplier in bespoke entertainment equipment including PA Systems and Audio Equipment.

The old Soundsavers site was dated in the design but also lacked the functionality on the site and in the ecommerce backend to enable the business to continue to grow efficiently. As we build our own ecommerce packages specifically to a client’s specification we were able to tailor a system to match their existing product database structure while adding extra functionality and features.

The additional functionality that we have been able to provide Soundsavers is the ability to easily add special offers and the latest deals to the home page, to have special deals within each category and for customers to have a really usable account system that helps keep track of saved baskets and previous orders. In the backend we have included features such as a bulk price editor, a stock upload feature and a simple system to manage the vast range of products that they stock and sell.

The design of Soundsavers entailed starting completely from scratch with a new logo design which we created. The main home page needed to not only be easy to use, with clear navigation, but to provide enough space for promotional items and clear sales messages. Soundsavers have a really strong reputation in the industry for their level of expertise so we emphasised their services of Professor PA and Dr Luminaire which offers customers with a bespoke quote service. In the backend of the site we have created a Negotiated order system that can handle the special quotes that they would normally send out offline.

The overall look and feel of the site fits in with their industry sector and provides them with a fresh new look. We also designed their Twitter background for them so that they will be coordinated on their social media accounts too.
