The Himalayan Garden Comes into Bloom
On a cold winters day you need something to remind yourself of the beautiful summertime in the UK. We have recently launched a new website for the Himalayan Garden that is situated in North Yorkshire. The website has been totally transformed to follow in line with the new logo and branding for the gardens.
The Himalayan Gardens in Grewelthorpe, near Ripon has recently won the “Environmental Project of the Year” award at the Yorkshire Rural Awards, and they are constantly developing the site to make it better than ever each year.
The gardens and woodlands cover 20 acres and provide a peaceful way to enjoy a day, as well as being a great place to order your plants for your own garden. The gardens are open to the public for a limited period during the year when the plants are at their best. They specialise in unusual and hybrid species of Rhododendrons and the majority of their plants were brought as seeds or seedings from the Himalayan region.
The website brief for the Himalayan Garden was to keep the site simple and to allow people to navigate easily around the site. The Location and Directions pages needed to be easy to use so that people could plan their journey once they have booked an appointment to view the gardens. On the site you can also download a form so that you can order some plants, or download the catalogue (coming soon!).
